What I wore in Madrid day 1

Before anything, I want to wish you a Happy New Year and may 2018 be your year.

For New Years, we decided one week before that we will go to Madrid. Let me give you an idea of what New Years have been for me for the past 3 years: In the same place with the same people. So this year, I couldn’t stand the thought of doing the same thing. And since 2017 was an unpredictable year, with a lot of ups and downs, the best way to end it was in an unpredictable place. At list this way, we got to choose the ups.

So we bought the trip a week before and even though we didn’t have any plans, or didn’t know anything about Madrid, my first problem was how the hell I was going to fit anything in a 53x40x23 cm carry on. With no extra bag allowed.

Somehow I managed to have 3 outfits, one pair of boots, the make-up, a bag and my Sony Cybershot fit in. You can’t imagine how proud I am of myself. And keep in mind, the outfits are for winter.

Here is the first one:

Yes, I do love heels, but I also love walking around whenever I am traveling. Those black tall boots were perfect from the airport and all the way home. They keep me warm and they bring some edginess to the outfit. A pair of jeans is a must when traveling, and those jeans make a statement, because of the flare. I added my cut-off sweater and a suede aviator jacket I got for Christmas.  The finishing touch was the statement necklace, it’s not really me without a chunky piece of jewelry.

The pictures are taken in the area of Museo del Prado.

Stay tuned for the second outfit I wore in Madrid and the perfect Madrid itinerary for 3 days.

How did you spend new years?
